The TRACS concept refers to a set of rarefied abilities or skills by which transformations in attitude, results or performance can be achieved with relative ease and over a relatively short period of time.
The changes in results can be in respect of oneself, one’s peers, subordinates, superiors or any unit he/she is leading; which could be organisational or social or domestic.

Origins
TRACS was originally founded on Transactional Analysis (TA); a concept which was developed by an Austrian called Eric Berne. Though the two concepts share a lot in common, there are still several fundamental differences between them. But all told, TRACS can be called a functional or problem-solving dimension to TA.

Based on the foregoing, TRACS therefore comes with a very simple but almost magical message: that wherever an organization or an arm of it is on the Performance Curve, NOTICEABLE changes can be achieved in less than 90 days, using the inimitable TRACS concept and techniques!!!

TRACS Key Approaches to Organisational & Individual Performance Transformation
It has 2 very exciting and simple approaches to performance, results and attitude transformation. These are –
- a. Prescription Approach
- b. Collaboration Approach (often called the Retreat or Workshop Approach).
Though the former is simpler, easier and less demanding, the latter is usually more recommended due to the fact that –
- It enjoys very high buy-in by the participating managers
